Onne van der Wal is an award-winning nautical photographer whose photographs have graced the cover of every major sailing magazine in the United States and abroad. A seasoned yacht racer, he won the Whitbread Round the World Race and still tours with teams both as sailor and photographer. And he loved it so much. How could you not - the photos are STUNNING. The colors are so vivid and engaging. There is a huge number of photos - some are one page - some are a two-page spread - some pages fold out into three. If you love sailing or know someone who does, this is a great coffee table book for them. We live on the Great Lakes and sadly are unable to sail half the year - looking through this book makes you remember why you love it. The book is sectioned into various regions and there is a great index in the back telling you about the particular boats and where the photos were taken.HIGHLY recommend. This book's a stunner.
This was a perfect gift for a special friend - beautiful full page pictures from all over the world - each area has a section. It is totally pictures except for a small introduction. Would buy it again!
Definitely worth the price! This was a gift and I was a little reserved about paying 60+ bucks on a book but it's quality.
