Yes! Book 3 of the Alpha Class series is finally out! I really enjoyed reading this book! I kept telling myself I had things I had to do today, and I’d set the book down, only to find myself a while later, right back where I had been with my nose buried in the book. This story has a bit of everything – it’s fun to read, flows well, there’s action and humor of course, plus we get to see more of John and Jean together. Kudos to N.D. Roberts for stepping up to the task of writing book 3 when the first two were written by a different author. Great job! Now for the sad part - I finished the book! I want more, please!
It's rare and wonderful when a new author can take on an existing series and not only capture the tone and voice of the original, but bring something new and exciting to the table. N.D. Roberts has beautifully done that with book three of this beloved YA series set in The Kurtherian Gambit universe.Her characters pop out at you and the story line never drags. Action and humor abounds. Highly recommended!Disclaimer: I first read this book as a free early draft, but felt compelled to purchase it for my permanent collection. I own all three books in this series.

I knew it was going to be a great read right from the first page! Well written continuation of the story with everything you could want, combat, humor, intrigue, you name it and this story has it!
Congratulations to N D Roberts and M Anderle on a fantastic book! Just about everything a fan of this genre and the KGU could want: great characters, relationships, battles, humor and of course John, Jean and a cameo or two by the wondrous B A herself. Couldn't put it down, now my tax return is going to be late!
Finally! The very long awaited third installment. I am a fan but and hats off to you all those who have the imagination to bring these stories to life for us. Sooo, next book?
The storyline and the storytelling were 5 star but I deducted 2 stars because it was way too short to be a standalone book. The page count wasn't listed (on purpose?) in the description for this more accurately labeled novella; I got through it in 3 hours. I was disappointed I couldn't see how short it was until after I purchased it. For those who haven't read the first two "books", I suggest you wait until all three novellas are combined into one anthology (i.e. a real book).
I wish I could write like this. Unfortunately, I don't have that gift, so I will have to stick to being a reader.This was a great continuation of the Alpha Class series, and I didn't even realize there had been an author change until I was reading the Authors' notes at the end of the book. Terrific job! Now I have to read the next one!
